By downloading, installing, or using the Mono app ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

Mono is a habit tracking, goal setting, and journaling application designed to help you build positive routines and track personal progress. The Service includes:

Mono is a local-first application. Your data is stored on your device by default. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and backing up your data. We are not liable for any loss of data stored locally on your device.

You retain ownership of all content you create within the app, including habits, goals, journal entries, and other personal data. By using Cloud Sync, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the synchronization service.

Mono offers a free tier that includes limited habit slots. You can unlock additional slots by maintaining consistent habit streaks, demonstrating your commitment before accessing more features.

Subscriptions are billed in advance through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until then.

Refund requests are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

The Mono app, including its design, graphics, themes, fonts, icons, and all other content created by us, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may export your data at any time in JSON, CSV, or Markdown format through the app's settings. This allows you to maintain a backup or transfer your data as needed.

We strive to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE OF ACTION OR THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mono and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mono regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
